Labor shortages due to the declining birthrate and aging population have become serious issues in all industries in Japan, and our manufacturing industry is no exception. Especially in the manufacturing industry, it is considered necessary to systematically transform into an efficient and effective business model without human intervention in response to the labor shortage predicted in the near future as a common issue. Many of the small and medium-sized enterprises are industries that have been steadily advancing in the production process, and 10 years ago, we were a company that had nothing to do with digital.
In response to these issues, we can provide information related to DX not only to the private sector but also to governments and schools by closely and promptly collaborating with INSIGHT LAB and RPA Technologies, which have satellite bases in the Joetsu and Myoko areas. I aim for a mechanism.
Furthermore, by making full use of digital to “reform” and “transform” business processes, productivity will be improved so that even limited human resources can work efficiently, and it will be recognized as a DX company in the manufacturing industry. , President Yamamoto will take the lead in developing DX.
One of the business issues within our company was that it took a lot of time to organize data for meeting materials and regular materials, graph data, and create materials. Therefore, as part of the promotion of DX, we have built an environment where data can be used efficiently, and have begun to promote efforts toward reform to a data-driven organization.
As a result of considering various BI services, we introduced “KizuKi”, a solution service that can support the establishment and utilization of BI tools. By importing data from core systems related to sales and manufacturing, selecting, organizing, and visualizing the necessary data, the man-hours required to create analysis data and graphs, which had been done manually so far, can be reduced, and time for further discussions can be achieved. It will be possible to devote to.
In addition, by utilizing the big data for the past 5 years stored in the company, it is possible to grasp trends such as inventory trends and ordering status for each customer, and to keep the upper and lower limit range (ordering points) of the inventory of major materials. Reconstruction is also carried out. We aim to transform from sales activities and production activities that rely on conventional intuition and experience to a data-driven organization that can make decisions with data backing. In the future, we will continue to consider further data utilization with a view to AI development.
As an initiative to promote back office DX, we aim to model RPA mainly in indirect departments (offices and sales) that are easy to improve, and to deploy it to manufacturing sites in the future. As a concrete measure, it will be possible to improve employee productivity by substituting digital labor for all tasks that do not require thinking or judgment. As a result of considering the introduction of RPA, we have adopted “BizRobo!” From RPA Technologies, which can be effectively used in the field.
In introducing it, in addition to being able to stably achieve the goal of “reducing 4 hours a day” in terms of cost effectiveness, we will provide quick response to questions, etc., and a full support system and reading program after introduction. I highly appreciated it. Going forward, we will continue to utilize it with the goal of reducing the man-hours of 1,000 hours a year, which is about 30% of the man-hours of the indirect department.
We are currently promoting the standardization of operations through a project named JPS (J Mate Production Method). J Mate. To be the flag-bearer of DX in the group, we will promote DX using “KizuKi”, “BizRobo!” We will devote it to livelihood. In addition, we aim to be a source of profits for our stakeholders in the future through these efforts.
With the mission of “using big data to create a more prosperous society,” we provide a data utilization platform “TERASU” that can solve problems according to the data utilization phase of each customer. “TERASU” consists of four areas: MatoMeru (data analysis platform), KizuKi (data visualization), + One (AI, RPA, etc.), and KakeDashi (DX promotion), and has been introduced by more than 200 companies, mainly major companies. We are also contributing to the promotion of regional DX by concluding a DX cooperation agreement with Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture, and we also provide support services for the introduction and utilization of cutting-edge data utilization tools and training services. Again, the shortage of human resources and difficulty in hiring are common management issues not only in the Joetsu region but also in each region, and the utilization of the RPA = digital labor force and various IT tools can be a major solution to these issues.
